Disaster Response Centers

A nationwide program is underway to develop new Disaster Response Center buildings, providing modern premises for the State Fire and Rescue Service, other internal affairs institutions, Emergency Medical Service and others. These multifunctional facilities are designed to strengthen regional resilience, ensure effective emergency response, and offer up-to-date working environments for first responders.

The projects are being implemented in several municipalities across Latvia, with phased construction and completion timelines:

  • Liepāja, Salacgrīva, Viļāni, Alsunga – construction started in 2024, scheduled for completion in 2025.

  • Kuldīga, Rīga, Jūrmala – initiated in 2024, with completion planned for 2026.

  • Limbaži, Ludza – initiated in 2025, with completion planned for 2026.

Together, these centers form a modernized network of civil protection infrastructure, significantly improving Latvia's ability to respond to emergencies and safeguard public safety.
